Fieldwork

Fieldwork Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-08-06 Operator: Trinity Fallow

Summary

Fieldwork is designed to work without an account. Your study activity is stored on your device and is not sent to Trinity Fallow. When you buy or restore paid access, the app sends the store receipt or purchase token to our verification service solely to validate entitlement and prevent purchase fraud. We do not use advertising, third-party analytics, cross-app tracking, or advertising identifiers.

Information stored on your device

The app stores information needed to provide its study features, which may include:

This information is processed locally. We cannot view, retrieve, or restore it because the app does not provide an account or cloud-sync service.

The information remains until it is removed through an available device or app-data control, or the app is uninstalled. Your operating-system backup service may include app data according to your device settings and the release build's backup configuration.

Purchases

Subscriptions are offered through Apple's App Store or Google Play. The store processes payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not receive your full payment-card or bank-account details.

The app sends the product identifier, store source, and opaque receipt or purchase token to an operator-controlled HTTPS verification service. The service validates the purchase with Apple or Google and returns whether paid access is active. It does not receive your study answers or study history. Network infrastructure may process an IP address and standard security logs when handling the request.

We use purchase information only to provide and restore paid access, reconcile expiry, refunds, holds, or revocations, prevent fraud, and meet legal or accounting duties. Raw receipt or token data must not be retained longer than needed for verification and reconciliation; transaction records may be retained where required by law.

You can manage or cancel a subscription using the controls provided by the store where you purchased it.

Support communications

If you contact us outside the app, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address and message. We use it to respond, investigate the issue, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Do not send health records, payment-card details, passwords, or recalled questions from a certification exam.

We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes, then delete or de-identify it unless a longer period is required by law.

Information we do not collect through the app

Under the release design covered by this policy, we do not collect through the app:

The app contains educational material about health and fitness topics. Viewing or answering questions about those topics does not cause the app to collect your personal health or fitness information.

Sharing, sale, advertising, and tracking

We do not sell personal information. We do not share app study activity with advertisers or data brokers. We do not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies, and the app does not display third-party advertising.

Apple and Google may process information independently when they operate their stores, devices, platform services, and purchase systems. Their processing is governed by their own notices and settings.

Your choices

Because study data stays on your device, we cannot access, export, correct, or delete it for you. You can remove local data using any data-reset control included in the release or through your device's app-storage controls; uninstalling the app ordinarily removes its active local data, subject to platform backup and restore behavior.

You can ask us to delete support correspondence or exercise privacy rights that apply where you live by contacting trinityfallow@gmail.com. We may need enough information to locate the correspondence and verify the request. Mandatory legal retention may still apply. The same contact can be used for questions about operator-held purchase-verification records, although the App Store or Google Play controls the underlying store account and payment record.

Children

The app is intended for people aged 16 and older and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information through a support channel, contact trinityfallow@gmail.com.

Security

Local data is protected by the security features of your device and operating system. Purchase-verification requests use HTTPS encryption in transit. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep your device updated and protect access with an appropriate passcode or biometric control.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app or legal requirements change. We will publish the new effective date and provide any additional notice required by law. We will update the store privacy disclosures before a release introduces new data practices.
